I would like to take this moment to thank everyone who supported Goodcity's Gala with your presence.  I also want to thank those who were not able to attend, but supported us with your donations.  It could not have been as successful without your support.  We are so blessed to have donors who believe in the mission of Goodcity.  Thank you for your continued support.

Goodcity is pleased to announce the selection of Bishop Arthur M. Brazier, Pastor of the Apostolic Church of God, as the recipient of the 2008 William H. Leslie Urban Pastor Award. The Urban Pastor Award is named for the late Dr. William H. Leslie, former senior pastor of LaSalle Street Church, a model for evangelical urban ministry. The award is presented to individuals who exemplify Dr. Leslie's vision and passion for urban ministry.

Brad Hamrlik will share his experience as Development Director of Goodcity and Ruth Kimble, founder of the Austin Childcare Providers Network (Goodcity's Community Program of the Year, 2006) will share her experience in leveraging resources. Goodcity's theme this year is "On the Move" emphasizing the growth aspect of who we are. We have our quarterly Board meeting on Thursday, December 6 and three different Christmas events on Friday, December 7. I will be giving the banquet talk for BDC (one of our programs - Bright Determined Children) at Hope Academy, 2189 W. Bowler, at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 8 and I'm preaching at the 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. services at LaSalle Street Church, Sunday, December 9.

As we return to work having given thanks for all our blessings, we at Goodcity are proud to share with you our newly redesigned website. We hope you will find it to be a useful tool in remaining "In the Loop" as we seek to communicate the good work of Goodcity and all our community program partners.
