Goodcity’s services are designed to help build the capacity of emerging and existing nonprofits serving Chicago’s under-resourced communities. Goodcity provides training in key areas of organizational development, supportive services, and opportunities for partnership and collaboration.
Goodcity serves as fiscal sponsor for nonprofit organizations, allowing them to use Goodcity’s 501(c)(3) status to receive grants and contributions. Fiscal sponsorship enables organizations to stay focused on their mission while receiving and managing funds through Goodcity. Goodcity serves as program manager for city, state, and federal grants and contracts. Goodcity coordinates program delivery across multiple entities, and provides essential program oversight and financial management.
Goodcity works with visionary leaders to help them realize their goals of developing sustainable organizations. Classes train and support leaders in how to develop, manage and grow a viable and effective organization serving the community.
Goodcity’s capacity building classes and workshops help organizations move to the next level of their development for greater community impact. Classes focus on key areas of organizational development, including fundraising, communications, board development, and human resources.
Leadership Breakfast Series
Goodcity hosts a leadership breakfast series that brings together leaders from nonprofits, funders, business and government to discuss issues of importance to Chicago communities. Through this series, new partnerships and collaborations are forged across sectors and around shared concerns and opportunities.
